Tom Middelton

Hello there! My name is Tom, and I'm an Pickleball Coach based in Jersey.

I've had a passion for all things involving a racket from a young age. Growing up, I was a keen tennis player, competing in regional, national, and even some international events. I first played pickleball during the COVID pandemic, and I was instantly hooked—not just by the speed and strategy of the game but also by how easy it is to pick up, making it accessible and enjoyable for players of all levels.

Since then, I've won both the singles and doubles local leagues and competed in the English Open 4.5 division. I'm always looking to challenge myself and play at the highest level possible. But one of my favourite aspects of pickleball is the incredible community, especially here in Jersey. The sport brings people together in such a welcoming and social environment, and it’s been amazing to see it grow.

As for coaching, I absolutely love sharing my passion and experience with others. Having been an LTA-accredited coach since I was 16, I’ve worked with players of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds (including disabilities), helping them develop their game in a fun and supportive setting. In addition, my university studies in Psychology and Sport Science have given me a unique perspective on coaching and player development, which I bring into every session.
Feel free to get in touch if you're around the Island and fancy giving one of the fastest-growing sport in the world a go!
